The picture I chose to go along with this post is a favorite picture of my wife, Gay, taken at our simple wedding ceremony in Ithaca, NY on April 23 of this year.
In this picture Gay is looking back at the our kids, just behind the photographer, and beckoning them to join us right after our vows. It's a stance of invitation. A look of inclusion. An expression of her joy of life.
I'm hoping that there is something in that gaze that I can harness and project out. I haven't written much in a long while, but I remember enjoying it. I'll write. Maybe no one will read.
